Webworks Galway ICT Setup

Webworks Galway Voice and Data network is based on 3com technology and devices. It is a centrally managed system, with performance monitoring and alerts on all network devices.

• VLAN security is implemented throughout to offer each company its own private network. Each company will be presented with several data ports and several voice ports in each unit. Once a device is connected to a data port, a DHCP address will be acquired from a central Windows server.
• Static IP addresses can also be used from the range allocated to each company. This will allow each company to create their own private network, with all devices speaking to each other. Webworks Galway telephone system has a centrally managed PABX that is IP-enabled. Each company will be presented with an analogue line for fax or modem and IP phones as requested.
• Direct-Dial numbers will be provided to each company and class restrictions can be applied to allow or deny calls in specific tariffs.
• Each company network will have access to the internet from their private network. A web-content filtering solution can be applied to individual companies who request the service.
• An anti-spam and anti-virus solution can also be applied to individual company networks, again upon request. All internet services are centrally managed through a 3com X506 firewall. This firewall offers the latest in 3com Intrusion Prevention technology, offering a robust and safe environment.
• Wireless internet access is available throughout the Webworks Galway complex, with excellent signal in all areas.
